Sustainability

Production

  • All of our manufacturing is carried out in-house, in our UK based studio, where we can monitor and manage the production process carefully.

  • Majority of our products are made-to-order, this is to ensure we avoid fabric wastage and over production.

  • We produce collections with fabric in mind first.

Materials

  • Deadstock, end of roll or ex-designer fabrics. This means we cannot re-order these fabrics and instead of putting pressure on making new fabrications, we are making the most of the fabrics that are already out there.

  • Natural fabrics. Other fabrications we work with are organic cottons or pure silks which have been sourced from London and were produced in Italy. These fabrics are possible to re-order but we never order more then 10mts of the fabric at a time unless there is demand for more. This way we are never asking suppliers to produce more than what we need.

  • Upcycling. A lot of goods we create can upcycle trims from buttons to zips. A core part of out design ethos includes upcycling beads from pre-loved and damaged goods. You can explore this collection here.

Distribution

  • Our products are presented in gift boxes and tissue paper that are entirely made from recycled paper and are widely recycle-able worldwide. Outer packaging is also widely recycled alongside the tape we use on our packages.

  • We pay an additional fee on each order to our courier (DHL) to send the package in a carbon neutral way.

Charity Organisations

  • With the offcuts of fabrics, we make limited edition styles of gloves where a percentage of the RRP goes towards selected charity organisations. You can find more information on our Raise Collection here and shop the collection here.

We are always looking for ways for us to become more sustainable. If you have any ideas or are someone who can help us improve, please email us at studio@tlabel.uk.

Wishing you a great day!
